Drimoleague Old Graveyard
Location of the Connolly grave
Note:
Old graveyards are not laid out in strict grid formats. This is a good, but not exact, indication of the location of this grave
Graveyard Information:
This is the site of medieval church now in ruins. A stone wall encloses the graveyard and contains a commemoration to the victims of the Famine from the parish. There are numerous graves, with the earliest inscriptions dating to the late 1700s.
Directions:
Heading north, turn left off the main street of Drimoleague, following the signpost for the Famine Memorial. Head up the hill, passing the present- day Roman Catholic church on the left, continue along for approx. 300m and the graveyard is on your left.
